A little about me:

I love spending time with my children (even though they are bigger than me now); my parents; friends; colleagues and of course my little dog Cookie. I moved to Skerries in 2014 and feel very blessed to live in such a lovely community.

I enjoy going for walks, especially on the beach, eating out, doing little projects around the house, meeting up with friends and travelling.

I am passionate about my business and so happy to have this opportunity to get to know so many families and their little ones and having such an amazing team makes it all so much more than just a business - its an extension of my family!

Qualifications:

  • Level 8 Bachelor of Honours Degree from DKIT in Early Childhood Studies (2008-2012)

Experience:

I completed an array of work placements during my college years. I'm employed in the sector since I graduated in 2012. I joined the team in Kelly's Bay Montessori in September 2013.

A little about me...

I live in Monasterboice near Drogheda but grew up in Tullyallen. I love to spend time with my family, 2 sisters, 1 brother, parents, niece and dog Tic Tac.

I enjoy scenic walks and socialising with friends at the weekends or going on an adventure down the country. Early mornings in the gym help me kick start my day ready for the busy day with the kiddies in school. I enjoy small craft and woodwork projects in my spare time and take up the occasional class when I get another one of my crazy notions.

Like most people I love to get away and explore the world from the shores of Donegal to the islands of Thailand. I've been to a wedding in India, done some volunteering in Vietnam, lived in America for a few months, explored cities in Europe and may the list continue to grow!

Qualifications:

  • Leadership for Inclusion in the Early Years programme  - University of Limerick
  • Level 7 & Level 8 in Early Childhood Studies achieving BA (Hons) Degree - Portobello Institute & London Metropolitan University
  • Paediatric First Aid

Experience:

Over 5 years employed within the sector including employment in 2 other settings before joining Kelly's Bay Montessori in September 2017.  I also have over 10 years experience in various office administration roles including Office Manager in an accountancy practice, before taking a career break to raise my family.

A little about me...

I'm a mum to 4 children - Ryan, Aaron, Aoife & Bethan. I have one fur baby called Teddy. I spend much of my spare time doing drop offs / pick-ups for GAA, rugby, Irish dancing, ballet, athletics and Taekwondo. Most weekends are spent standing on the sidelines watching GAA or rugby matches.

I grew up in Skerries but got the travel bug and travelled around Australia for a year. I decided to gain my qualifications in childcare to enable me to work part-time while still being able to look after my children in the afternoons and school holidays. I have not looked back! In whatever spare time I find I love to go power walking and do some gardening!

Qualifications:

  • Foundation Course in Montessori Studies
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Fire Safety Officer
  • Lamh (sign language)

Experience:

I have over 19 years practical experience working within the childcare sector. When I first moved to Skerries, I was very involved in the Skerries Community Playgroup while my children were young. I have worked with Cheryl for the past 17 years, the first 3 of those as a Preschool Support Worker for children with special needs.

A little about me...

I'm a mum to 3 grown up children and I have 2 grandchildren. With working 2 jobs, here in Kelly's Bay Montessori and working with St. Michael's House, and also minding my little grandchildren, there is not a lot of spare time , but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I enjoy meeting my friends for a coffee and a chat. I love cooking and baking and now that I have a little baker, called Layla (my granddaughter) helping me, it is even more enjoyable.

I also enjoy weekends away in Culdaff, Donegal - chilling out with lovely walks and meals out! It's pure bliss.

  • QQI Level 6 Early Childhood Care & Education
  • QQI Level 5 Special Needs Assisting

Experience:

During my Level 6 training I undertook my work placement with Cheryl & Breiffne, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have been working at KBM since Spring 2019. My past work experience includes delivering training and tutoring on QQI Level 5 and Level 6 Early Childhood Care & Education courses. I also spent almost 10 years working in the HR department of a large financial services company. Prior to that I worked in various cultural and heritage organisations. Being an Education Assistant in the National Museum of Ireland for 18 months was my favourite role during that time.

A little about me...

I am married to Dave and we have 3 children - Doireann, Ruadhan and Caoilinn. We live in Skerries where we both grew up. Its lovely to see our own kids growing up in such a beautiful and friendly town.

I was lucky to have spent 5 years as a stay at home mammy when the children were younger. My current role as an early years educator allows me to make a difference to young children's learning and development journey, while also being able to work around my own family life. I am thoroughly enjoying my time in KBM.
